As part of the preparatory action T2.4, we have started selecting priority areas where the rehabilitation of poles that are most dangerous for birds will be carried out. The areas are selected based on data on the presence of target species of the project and data on the habitat in the vicinity of the poles and the pole construction itself. Currently, the selected priority areas are mainly in the southern parts of the SPA areas Snežnik-Pivka and Kras, and the central part of the SPA area Vipavaski rob, where we have already identified over 600 dangerous poles. The selection of poles is carried out first with the help of GIS tools, and then by checking in the field.
